Corinne is way too wise to our parenting tactics. She illustrated that so well last night before bed when she approached me displaying two books, (after Dad had already read her a story), "Mom, which of these two books would you be happy to read to me?" Nice phrasing, huh--no room for a "no". Or like another time when she said to me at Target, "Mom, here are your choices. Would you like to buy me a Barbie or a Polly Pocket?" I can't imagine where she's picking this up!

that is just too classic! like mother like daughter, right? (just kidding-- that's just what patrick always says to me when i'm frustrated with something the girls do! he thinks it's funny. . .)
Very clever! It can be a little scary when you hear yourelf mimicked back so clearly. Xanderr's had issues with being quite bossy lately, and it makes me wonder where he's getting this...
That girl is too smart.
That's too funny...I'm learning to use the same phrasing for my kids but only after hitting upon Love and Logic!
Nice blog!
